Mountain Pack Trips
A wonderful combination of trail riding, hiking and adventure. Riding up the mountain in a pack train of horses witnessing all the beauty of the valley below is truly one of the most incredible adventures Bearclaw Recreation has to offer. We have one trail that we currently use for such a journey with plans to develop more as needed. From the top of Baldy Mountain, you can see the Seven Sisters Mountain Range to the west, Mt. Rocher de Boule & Suskwa Mountains to the South, the Atnas and Skeena Mountains to the North & East.
From the backside of this majestic mountain, rocky ridges carve their way into an endless sea of mountain tops. Our expeditions generally run 4 days and 3 nights on the mountain which gives us 2 traveling days and 2 exploration days on top of the mountain. The guests take part in wildlife viewing, bird watching, day hikes, camp life and horseback riding. These pack trips come with a fully stocked camp kitchen and great cuisine, from fire-roasted salmon, dutch oven apple crisp, great wine pairings and warm, waterproof tents! What more does one need in life?
Our mountain horses and guides are experienced, confident and know the terrain intimately.
